Jon Spencer is an experienced Learning and Development professional. He has worked as a senior consultant designing programmes for large organisations since 1995 after spending four and a half years at the Bristol-based West of England Management Centre, latterly as Senior Consultant.

Jon specializes in management and personal skills development, facilitation, train-the-trainer programmes and the management of change for a range of clients in both the public and private sectors, in the UK, continental Europe, Africa, Asia and North America. He has an MSc in Management Development & Training from the University of Bristol.

Jon Spencer Training & Consulting Ltd (JSTC) has been operating for over 12 years and specialises in Creative Training and Facilitation for organisations.

Although based in the Bristol area, JSTC has clients throughout the UK and overseas.

BACKGROUND & HISTORY

JSTC was initially set up by Jon Spencer in 1995 as a sole trading consultancy, but now is a limited company employing Jon as director, and his wife Janet as Company Secretary.

Training, facilitation and consultancy work is carried out by Jon, or any of the numerous freelance associates who have contributed to the growth and success of JSTC over the last few years. JSTC follows the increasingly common model of a virtual consultancy - few core employees, but a wider network of associates which share the same values and adopt a similar approach to working.

Jon says "Using the network of trusted associates has meant that we can deliver large-scale, national programmes, but keep costs down".
